Welcome on the site dedicated to the international network of social street workers. This site will allow you, amongst others, to gain information on all the activities and results obtained within the frame of the network; to participate to the process of exchanges of good practices; to constitute a local workshop of street workers and to become a member of the work.
Dynamo international is at the initiative and coordinates this actual platform of international solidarity for street educators.

For over ten years, many people working in the field of social work in contact with impoverished populations have been talking about the risks of the prevailing economic model. From that classic "in and out of," we have seen that in Europe and the world wealth has increased in general, but also inequality. There have been many voices criticizing the developmental model, addressing the “macro figures” through providing testimony and analysis of the “micro figures” (the place where humans live). Some reforms might have been possible, and then the option to maintain social cohesion could have been strengthened and perhaps reformulated. There were critical and constructive voices that were silenced, or heard, just like one hears the rain. Now, the policy seems to be restrained, limited in processing capacity by financial logic and "invisible". Everything happens as it were a weather phenomenon. What people have built can be transformed by people. Given the current state of fear and helplessness, we must organize ourselves, each in his position, from his trade, from his own strength, to avoid falling into the abyss of misery and despair. Many educators in Europe (Greece, Portugal, Spain, Italy...) are losing their jobs, many organizations are disappearing with serious financial difficulties, and this may be, perhaps, just the beginning. In the world many social workers have always suffered difficulties and sometimes even their own life is at stake. The social issue is more at stake than ever, we must change the economic logic and we must show that investment in non-formal education, the promotion of rights, is also a duty of humanity, a financial saving for the future. And those sick or hurt societies take a heavy toll in terms of human lives.
