Welcome on the site dedicated to the international network of social street workers. This site will allow you, amongst others, to gain information on all the activities and results obtained within the frame of the network; to participate to the process of exchanges of good practices; to constitute a local workshop of street workers and to become a member of the work.
Dynamo international is at the initiative and coordinates this actual platform of international solidarity for street educators.

The meeting has been held as an action of reflection, identification of challenges and training issues within the international network, through a methodology of active participation by all members present.
In line with progresses achieved at Ittre in 2009, European funds give an international focus to the training group. Now we must go further. In order to do this, we rely on the expertise of professionals who have contributed much to the training program. Any social science is organized on three levels: ethical, theoretical and political.
The aim is to present at the end of this year two documents: a profile of skills and a training curriculum of a "working progress" type, i.e. documents open to discussion at Dynamo International Street Workers Network, in advance to the pilot group meeting of all 42 countries involved in 2012. The pilot group will have to discuss the proposals made at the meeting to which we refer and which will be held later this year in Lisbon.
The meeting identified the following values and principles in relation to training: joint construction (partnership, participation), solidarity as the basis of social work, ethics of social work and human relationships are the true basis for street work as well as respect (of national realities in particular).
In addition, the necessities in terms of training for street work were stressed: monitoring and evaluation (research), cooperation with other community and institutional activists, learning methodology (methods, tools), knowledge of social issues and realities, a critical analysis of social challenges, teamwork, training of trainers, management of organizations and projects.
The following experts participated in the meeting: Helder Luis Santos (group coordinator), Graeme Tiffany (UK), Henk Geelen (Netherlands), Else Kristin, Utne Berg and Marit Grung (Norway), Moussa Sow (Senegal), Edho Mukendi (Democratic Republic of Congo), Luis Enrique Hernandez (Mexico), Annie Fontaine and Monic Poliquin (Québec-Canada). Other attendants were: Mourad Ghanem of the association "Conversas de Rua" from Lisbon, and Adélaïde Trousselard, responsible for monitoring activities in the framework of the Dynamo International PROGRESS program.
The next meeting will take place from 21 to 26 November in Lisbon and will cover the development of training modules, particularly based on national experiences in terms of training.
